This is a great film series that deserves a better, more in-depth look. It seemed like a quick collection of film criticism buzzwords hastily applied to the Mad Max films. However, if the criticism had been really good, the brevity could have been forgiven. For something the author describes as the most influential Australian films ever made, this seems like a pretty weak effort.
